In April 2017 the country has  contracted a debt with the FMI, for 57,000 million dollars (the most important amount in Argentine history).. The forecasts of social and economic stability have not been achieved, and the country has more than 50% inflation. A devalued currency tied to a dollar that multiplied in a year. Rates of basic services such as electricity, water and gas increased by 4 years by 1000% as well as public transport.

Currently Argentina has 1,185,000 people unemployed at the national level - one of the conditions that the FMI asked to lower the fiscal cost. In March, 2018 the Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina, measured that the population, had an average of 27, 3% of the poor, at the end of 2019 increased to  35% (15.9 million people) with a brutal devaluation on the Argentine peso that marked the beginning of an extensive economic recession with an Inflation close to 60 %, foreign debt that has risen by 79 % and Unemployment to 10.6 %.

Mauricio Macri, and his party 'Cambiemos' made promises of profound changes during his electoral campaign last 2015 like "Zero poverty", to lower the country's inflation, to improve education, improve salaries and a multi-million dollar investment of foreign capital. Particularly important was the vote of the strip of indigent and poor people who could never leave the settlements that exist throughout the country. That low class  today it retreated, to the point that many of them sleep in the street, and stir the garbage to feed themselves.

On October,27,2019 Macri's coalition lost the presidential elections.
The Peronist Alberto Fernandez became the new president of Argentina with the 48.1% of votes against the 40% of Macri, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner came back as his vice president.
An unpredictable future is assumed for this country in permanent crisis
